Dear Open311 community,
we'd like to invite you to an Open311 community meeting on March, 26th,
12:00-14:00 (12pm to 2pm) GMT.
We, that's Timo from Syke (Finland), Bardo from Urban Hotbed (Germany) and
Holger from MFDZ for the stadtnavi project (Germany).
Open311/GeoReportV2 is around and in use for a while. Time has gone by and
requirements and standards evolved. As a response, custom additions were made
here and there, some are planned.
We'd like to get in contact with those who actively use Open311 to discuss how
the standard can be updated and evolved further.
Currently planned agenda:
* Short self-introduction of all participants
History, current state (and possibly?) future of Open311 (Philip Ashlock,
requested)
* Current usage examples
* Syke crowd-sourced environmental monitoring (Timo) 5min
* Urban Hotbed's approach (Bardo) 5min
* stadtnavi / service-bw pilot (Holger) 5min
* Perhaps your example?(Please get in touch with Holger, Timo, Bardo)
* Future of Open311, discussion, e.g.
* What can be learned from past attempts to improve/extend Open311, such as
the Helsinki developments, the former EU funded CitySDK project and its US
derivative ?
* What are key challenges to bring Open311 up-to-date; like e.g. better (or
externalized) authentication, more standardized output (JSON, Linked Data,
ISO-Standards,...) ?
* (How) will the result want to make a difference from its monolithic
competitors (such as fiware) who aggressively play the "big name" reliability
and scalability cards ?
* Next steps / next meetings
Join us via BigBlueButton on 26th, 12:00-14:00 (12pm to 2pm) GMT at
https://triff.stadtnavi.eu/b/hol-tsn-10y
Best regards
Holger
