Subject: Boston announces iPhone app for issue tracking
Date: Jul 08, 2009 02:10 PM
http://www.boston.com/news/local/massachusetts/articles/2009/07/06/boston_to_debut_8216killer_app8217_for_municipal_complaints/ It's not fully clear from the article whether or not there's a public interface for viewing issues, or whether it's just an input tool, but it's definitely a start. A quick google shows that there's not a "311" system in Boston; rather, a "mayor's hotline" that serves a similar purpose (http://www.boston.com/news/local/massachusetts/articles/2006/04/30/311_to_the_rescue/ ). It would be great if we could bring Connected Bits (the developers of the iPhone app) and Christopher Loh from the Boston Mayor's office into this discussion.
